The Call of Duty series was always popular but when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare released into the market the franchise completely blew up. Gamers couldn’t get enough of the fast-paced action, quick scopes, variety of weapons and perks that were all customizable. Instead of becoming a common soldier from a past war, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare took the game franchise to present day with the war taking place in 2011. The story for this game was fun, but the online multiplayer matches is where the game truly shined. To this very day, we’re receiving countless Call of Duty video game titles all replicating the same mechanics that gave Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare the highly praised success and reception it received.
