There’s been no shortage of rumours and reports regarding the flowering relationship between Nintendo and Microsoft in recent days. From Microsoft looking to bring Game Pass and xCloud to the Switch, to some of their most major first party names coming to Nintendo’s platform, to even the likes of Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead making their way to the Switch, there have been a great deal of reports about some pretty unbelievable things over the last few days.

While we obviously don’t expect either Microsoft or Nintendo to confirm or deny these reports just yet until there’s time for an official announcement (if there is an official announcement), Xbox’s corporate vice president Mike Ybarra recently had a bit of fun on Twitter with some cryptic responses to recent reports. In one tweet, Ybarra simply tweeted out a screenshot of the dictionary definition of the word “rumour”, before cheekily following that up with another tweet in which he said, “It’s a rumor that I only play PC games!”

That’s neither a confirmation nor a denial – as expected, of course – but it does fan the flames nonetheless. Meanwhile, in related news, Microsoft has been the subject of other, non-Nintendo related reports and rumours as well. Reportedly, the next Xbox is going to be revealed at E3 this year, and will launch in 2020, with Halo Infinite as a launch title. Read more on that through here.
