Quantum Break, the Xbox One time manipulating shooter, has been announced to be released at some time in 2016. Obviously, this is disappointing for Xbox One players, but that’s just how it is. Quantum Break is a game that had a number of Xbox One players very excited, and rightfully so. The time bending premise was, and still is, an intersting one so long as it’s executed properly. But given the game’s lengthy development period and it’s long stretches of silence, people are understandably wary of suffering another The Order: 1866-eqsue scenario.

Shannon Loftis, the Head of Publishing at Microsoft Studios said the following about the delay. “With so many Xbox One game’s launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP.”

The game is being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the studio that’s best known for their work on the awesome Max Payne series of games. Then they made Alan Wake and cemented their place amongst the most respected studios.  Speaking about the the game, Sam Lack the Creative Director at Remedy, has said,”We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from us.”
