Microsoft has finally announced the price of the Xbox One in Japan – both with Kinect and without it – and the launch titles that will be included.

The Xbox One will retail with Kinect at ¥49,980 (£291 or $490). The Xbox One without Kinect will cost ¥39,980 (£233 or $392). The latter is actually the same price of the PlayStation 4 in Japan so that’s a good thing. Launch titles include Forza Motorsport 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome. Square Enix has promised its fair share of titles for Japan including Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Thief and Call of Duty: Ghosts but we’ll need to wait for more information on the same.

The PlayStation 4 had a very strong start in Japan but has since faltered in the sales charts with exclusives failing to place in the top 10. What are your thoughts on the Xbox One in Japan? Let us know in the comments.
