UK retailer GAME has updated its website, and the news should be uplifting enough for customers looking to purchase an Xbox One when it releases. GAME is “happy to confirm that the Standard Edition Console is guaranteed for Christmas. All pre-orders placed so far, and any orders that continue to be placed until further notice, will be with you in time for Christmas, although we cannot confirm the exact date at this time.”

As of now, launch stock has already been allocated by the retailer, which includes the Forza Motorsport 5 bundles that were recently announced. Even with all the pre-orders till now, GAME has also revealed that a fresh stock will be arriving in time for Christmas.

So while it’s not exactly launch day, you’ll still be getting the console very close to its release on November 29th. The question now is whether that’s good enough for those who have pre-ordered, even with the news of scarce stock.
