Microsoft has revealed the new Xbox One today at its exclusive reveal event, showcasing the next generation console’s hardware, the revamped controller, new Kinect features, Xbox Live and a ton of games along with the promise of future exclusives.

It also announced that the Xbox One will be available worldwide by the end of the year – which puts it in direct competition with Sony’s PlayStation 4 slated to release in the Holiday season.

So far, it’s hard to tell who had the tougher initial reveal, but we’ll get to that in good time.

This also seems to fit the news that components for the new Xbox One have already begun shipping out and that demand will reach a spike by the fourth quarter of 2013. This is a given since it’s when the console will be releasing.

What are yours thoughts on the Xbox One thus far? Seen enough to convince you to buy or just disparaged you more than any always-online rumour could?
