We’ve already gotten a look at EA Sports’ upcoming cavalcade of sports titles for the recently announced Xbox One, along with Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport 5 and Remedy’s Quantum Break. But that’s not all. The Xbox One’s first year of launch will see 15 – count ’em – 15 exclusive titles, and about half of those – approx. 8 – will be brand new franchises.
What was that rumour again about Microsoft’s first party development reportedly suffering?
So far, it’s been an interesting show. Microsoft started off by announcing the design of the Xbox One, which looked awful, along with the new voice commands and gestures governing Kinect, which has been souped up to support a 1080p field of view.
The new controller and its revamped D-Pad were also showcased, along with new features such as Snap Mode which allows running several applications simultaneously. This isn’t even counting what remains – or even Xbox Live. So stay tuned.
