We’re approaching the time where new announcements of games appearing on next-gen consoles will be coming in thick and fast. Microsoft have announced an Inside Xbox event for May 7, where they will be showing off multiple games, and according to known industry insider Shinobi602 over on ResetEra, the event will feature several major announcements of new third party titles.

Ubisoft have already confirmed that their recently revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be receiving its gameplay world premiere at the event, but it’s likely that other publishers will be involved as well, with Shinobi602 also suggesting that EA might show up with games they have planned for this Fall.

What about the first party Xbox Game Studios teams then? Microsoft have suggested that they have big plans for this Summer, which we can assume means new game announcements and updates, but will we be seeing much of that on May 7? Shinobi seems to suggest that while third parties will have a big presence next week, the Xbox Game Studios announcements will be the main focus in Microsoft’s E3 replacement event. Microsoft confirmed that that event would indeed take place back when E3 was cancelled, while recent rumours have also suggested that it will be coming in June.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated as we keep learning more, so make sure to stay tuned to GamingBolt. In other Xbox-related news, Phil Spencer recently said that though the Xbox Series X is on track to launch this Holiday, the releases of games are much more uncertain. Read more on that through here.
