We’ve been getting a torturous drip feed of information on the upcoming next-gen consoles over the last few months, but the momentum has picked up of late, and will continue to do so in the coming weeks as Sony and Microsoft prepare to do full-blown reveals for their upcoming machines. Microsoft are going to be the first ones out the game with the Inside Xbox episode on May 7 (and – reportedly – another event coming in June)- and in the lead up to that, they may have revealed something else for the Xbox Series X.

No, not a game, nor the price- something much less juicier. They recently uploaded a five second clip to their YouTube channel that’s essentially a short promo building up the hype for this Thursday’s event, but the video itself might possibly be showing the startup logo for the Xbox Series X- which just says “Xbox,” plain and simple, interestingly enough.

Similarly, the sound that plays in the background might be the upcoming console’s new startup sound. In fact, if you turn on closed captions on the video, they read “New Xbox Sound”- which is pretty self-explanatory. It definitely sounds like a startup sound. Check it out below.

The Xbox Series X is scheduled to launch this Holiday. Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently said that though Microsoft remain confident of hitting that release window for the console, they’re much less sure about the games- read more on that through here.
