XDefiant

Ubisoft San Francisco’s XDefiant appeared at Ubisoft Forward, starting with a montage from the closed beta test from April. Executive producer Mark Rubin then took the stage and confirmed that the closed beta was the largest test thus far. The full launch is coming later this Summer, but a new test will occur before that.

It’s available from June 21st to 23rd to everyone on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The focus is on controller play and stress testing the servers. At launch, there will be a six-week pre-season with 14 maps, five factions and 24 weapons. For Year 1, the team will add four new factions, 12 new weapons and 12 additional maps.

That means one new map per month, each inspired by Ubisoft’s worlds, with Rubin promising that fans would be surprised with where they go next. XDefiant is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One, so stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming days.
