Nintendo has announced a new Direct but not the one you’re probably expecting. It’s a Direct focused on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, set for June 22nd at 4 PM CEST with “roughly” 20 minutes of information.

Set after Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, the third game’s story takes place in Aionios where the nations of Keves and Agnus are at war. There are two protagonists – Noah of Keves and Mio from Agnus. Both are off-seers who use flutes to mourn the dead. How this ties into the larger Xenoblade saga remains to be seen. Characters from previous titles like Melia and Nia are teased to return though.
