The second wave of Expansion Pass DLC is available now for Monolith Soft’s acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It adds a new hero, Ino, along with a unique progression system and quest for her along with Challenge Battles. By completing Challenge battles, players can earn Crystals to purchase additional outfits and accessories.

What’s next, though? According to a new tweet by Nintendo of America, DLC Wave 3 will include another new hero along with new Challenge Battle rules. Though it’s unknown what the latter could mean, the image in the tweet seems to imply that multiple heroes can partake in a battle. Usually, only one hero can travel with the party.

DLC Wave 3 is out by April 30th, 2023, but could arrive sooner, given that DLC Wave 2 arrived much before its intended date. The fourth and final wave of DLC includes a brand new story scenario and launches by December 31st, 2023. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
