Perhaps one of the finest games in the series, Yakuza 2 is making its grand comeback with Yakuza Kiwami 2, releasing on August 28th for PlayStation 4. Along with Kiryu running around and taking names, the remake will feature returning mini-games and an improved clan creator. Check out the trailer below.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Yakuza title without some classic Sega games to experience through in-game arcades. Virtual On and Virtua Fighter are present in all their glory. Karaoke is also making a comeback and we even spotted an odd top-down strategy-esque activity at work as players defend Majima Construction. Oh, and did we mention you can play as the madman Majima Goro himself?
Running in full HD, Yakuza Kiwami 2 runs on the Dragon Engine, used to develop Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. This results in smoother transitions, better animations and excellent textures all around. Time will tell if it eventually comes to PC like Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, both recently announced for the platform.
