As the industry winds down, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is hosting what’s seemingly the last Direct of the year for Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties. Airing on December 22nd at 5 PM PT, it will showcase new features and gameplay from both titles ahead of launch.
It’s already confirmed that Yakuza Kiwami 3 features new scenes and the most abilities for Dragon of Dojima, one of Kiryu’s two combat styles. However, the latter also receives new Heat Actions, and you can further upgrade Kiryu by equipping new phone straps and accessories.
Dark Ties is a new experience – a Like a Dragon Gaiden-style side story focusing on Yoshitaka Mine. Players will follow his story from the founder of a start-up company to being ousted and eventually delving into the underworld, working alongside Kanda Damage Control. Unlike Kiryu, Mine follows a shoot boxing style and can enhance his power using Dark Awakening.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties is available on February 12th, 2026, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, so stay tuned for more updates.
