Yakuza Like A Dragon

Sega has released a demo for Yakuza: Like A Dragon for the PS4 but it’s currently only available for the PlayStation Store in Japan. The demo will showcase the near-final version of the turn-based combat system so it’s worth checking out. Everyone else gets a brand new trailer which outlines the story. Oh and Kazuma Kiryu, the famed protagonist of previous games, makes an appearance. So that’s cool.

Though Kiryu will have a role in the game, the actual protagonist is Ichiban Kasuga. Formerly of the Tojo Clan, Kasuga emerges from prison after 18 years to find that the Omi Alliance is now in charge. What’s going on and how does Kasuga set things right? Regardless of what he does, Kiryu seems ready to fight him.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is out on January 16th, 2020 for the PS4 in Japan. It releases later next year for North America and Europe, though a solid release date has yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
