Ryu ga Gotoku’s Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be receiving some post-launch DLC soon with the Additional Challenge Expansion Pack. It offers a New Game Plus setting and new “High Difficulty Mode”. No release date has been provided for Japan but it’s apparently coming soon.

While New Game Plus will likely allow players to carry over their progress into a new playthrough, the High Difficulty Mode is the more intriguing feature. How will it influence the difficulty and will there be challenges to make the game tougher for players? Either way, this should serve as a good incentive to keep grinding away in the base game.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon released last month for the PS4 in Japan. Unlike previous games, it employs a turn-based RPG system with party members and Jobs that confer different abilities and outfits. It’s done well in Japan so far with shipments and digital sales topping 300,000 units within the first 12 days of launch.
