By this point, pretty much every mainline Yakuza game is available on Xbox Game Pass– all except the most recent one. But Yakuza: Like a Dragon might soon be added to the subscription service’s ever-growing catalog as well.
A listing for Yakuza: Like a Dragon Legendary Hero Edition – which includes the base game and all of its DLC – was recently spotted on the Microsoft Store, and it seemed to be confirming that it will also be available for Xbox Game Pass. Since then, the same has confirmed by journalists Tom Warren of The Verge and Jeff Grubb of GamesBeat.
With the Xbox + Bethesda showcase scheduled for later today, it’s likely that this will be officially announced soon.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 9/10, and said, “Yakuza is reborn in this brilliant and compelling new addition to series canon that recontextualizes series tropes and mechanics for an entirely new genre, delivering one of the best outings the series has ever seen.” You can read our full review through here.
Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has also confirmed that future mainline Yakuza games are going to stick with Like a Dragon’s turn-based RPG formula.
