A new trailer for Falcom’s Ys 10: Nordics was revealed by Dengeki, showcasing the action RPG’s gameplay and visuals. It showcases the Cross Action system (including some very clean dodges from Adol) and Mana Actions while teasing some new villains. Check it out below from 22:07 onwards.
Taking place between Ys 1 and 2, Nordics sees Adol venturing to Obelia Bay with Dogi. He has a run-in with Carja Varta, a Norman who is also the daughter of Grimmson, the Varta Navy’s leader. Eventually, Adol and Carja are linked, and players can control each character solo or both for more damage.
When exploring, both characters can use a Grimble Board to glide on water and air currents or Mana String to grapple. The trailer even showcases a stealth mechanic, where Adol stops time and sneaks past some enemies to unlock a chest.
Ys 10: Nordics releases on September 28th for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. Stay tuned for more details on a worldwide release date in the coming months.
