Naught Dog: PS Move Will Not Necessarily Be In Uncharted 3

Posted By | On 04th, Aug. 2010

So if you were hoping that Sony would incorporate Move into every first party game henceforth (yeah, right), then you should just stop- at least one Sony developer, Naughty Dog, has confirmed that their games will only incorporate Move if it is necessary, reports CVG.

Specifically speaking about Uncharted, Naughty Dog exec Arne Meyer spoke about how the studio was experimenting with Sony’s new controller. However, he added that the controller must fit in naturally with the flow of the gameplay, and it must be consistent with the design goals of the game.

“What we may do with this technology depends on how it fits into the story we want to do, so we haven’t made any decisions at this time,” he said.

“Generally speaking, it is an exciting technology to see come to fruition in the home, as it opens a variety of ways developers can innovate with their narrative and with their games.”

“Utilising the Move is certainly an option we would consider – again, if it fits in with our narrative and design goals,” he added, stressing the point that the story of the game, and its requirements, would determine if Move would be in the next Uncharted game.
