The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received a rare 10 from GamingBolt when it launched last year, as well as our Game of the Year award. We also really liked both of its expansions– so suffice it to say, we are fans of the game, and we legitimately think that it is a darn great RPG.

But even greatness can be improved upon, and this brand new mod for the game, called ‘Enhanced Edition’ (not to be confused with the actual Enhanced Editions that CD Projekt RED used to release for previous games in the Witcher series, but declined to for Witcher 3) promises to do just that. Among the various changes it introduces, it makes enemies 11 levels higher than the players, introducing a significantly higher level of difficulty than the base game has. It also changes, among other things, the game’s default stats and abilities, meditation and alchemy settings, equipment weight and durability, and talent caps and leveling, and combat and damage modifiers- in other words, it is a thorough and extensive update and overhaul.

You can check out an introduction for the mod in the video below. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
