After the disastrous reception of Resident Evil 6, Capcom returned back to its roots with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Switching to a first-person perspective, Resident Evil 7 features a dark, gritty, and crumbling Baker Mansion that’s filled to the brim with all kinds of horror. With scarce ammunition and bosses that will literally never die, Resident Evil 7 is a game that can easily knock one’s stress levels up to eleven – always leaving players wondering about what’s lying around the next corner. All in all, it’s a radical departure from prior entries – but one that was heartily welcomed by both fans and critics alike.
