One of the weirder, more unique premises of the year, Creaks is another adventure classic from Amanita Design, known for titles like Machinarium and Samorost. What starts as a strange rumbling becomes an investigation into an elaborate yet darkly intricate underworld. Players investigate a strange manor with furniture that moves (and which is more than happy to devour them), manipulating light sources to freeze said furniture and opening up paths. Puzzle solving and proper timing are both required, which meshes well with the incredible aesthetic and animation. With so many different platform releases, it’s a shame not to see Creaks mentioned more upon release.
