Project Titan

This is supposedly Blizzard’s new MMO title, that is eventually going to be replacing World of Warcraft. When however is a completely different question. Many people were expecting to see something at E3 about it this year, but unfortunately Blizzard remained pretty silent about this title.

This is a big “wait and see” title, with developers staying very close-lipped about it and it certainly is not unheard of for Blizzard to abandon a project, even after they’ve dropped insane amounts of money on it. (Anyone remember Project Ghost?)

While Starcraft 2 is still going strong, Blizzard certainly didn’t do any favors for gamers with Diablo 3. Some folks seem to have the sentiment that they’ve got some making up to do for that. Fortunately, Starcraft: heart of the Swarm proves they’ve still got it.

Blizzard has gone as far to say as Project Titan has had to be restarted. This supposedly being the next big title and replacement of WoW for Activision-Blizzard means they can’t abandon this one like Starcraft: Ghost. Restarting may be a good thing, and Blizzard is never a company to be rushed. It will be interesting to see if they can re-invent the MMO experience all over again.
