3. Lost Odyssey
Lambasted for being too derivative, Mistwalker's second Xbox 360 RPG deserves far more praiseli than was given to it at launch. Certainly the characters weren't the most original, but the story was gripping, the combat satisfying and the visuals; oh the visuals! This was how a current gen JRPG was meant to be. It seemed like all RPGs at the time were given hugely scathing reviews, with critics anticipating that Final Fantasy XIII would come along and show us how modern RPGs should be made. Now that we know that FFXIII was an unadulterated piece of turd, it's time we went back and gave these JRPGs a second chance. Those in love with the genre should also check out Resonance of Fate, Infinite Undiscovery and Magnacarta 2, three equally underrated but enjoyable 360 JRPGs.
