REAL TIME COMBAT
Let’s get this out of the way- the combat in Final Fantasy 15 is great, and it is possibly our favorite combat system in the series. We’re not complaining about that. What we’re saying is, there are a lot of series fans who hold the turn based roots of the franchise dear, and they’re not likely to be amused by Final Fantasy 15 ditching all semblance of turn based combat, going entirely real time. Yes, there is a Wait Mode, and it’s a really cool spin on the idea, but it’s not the same. Old school fans of the series who want a new, AAA turn based Final Fantasy are unlikely to appreciate what Final Fantasy 15 has to offer.
