TOO MUCH BOAT RIDING

A huge, huge chunk of God of War’s covered in water, which means a you spend a significant chunk of the game just rowing your boat around water. Traversing around the Lake of Nine on your boat makes up for a healthy amount of the game then, and though the conversations between Kratos and Atreus (and later Mimir) while they’re in the boat do add some value to these boat rides, there’s not much else to do. If Sony Santa Monica do want to bring back the boat riding sections for the sequel, we’re hoping they’ll either spice them up (maybe introduce some combat), or make them a much less important part of the game.
