Zack – Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7
Before Crisis Core’s release, every Final Fantasy 7 fan knew how Zack Fair sacrificed himself to ensure Cloud’s survival. The prequel’s release showcased firsthand just how far Zack went. After escaping with Cloud, who was catatonic, he looked after him, constantly talking and taking care of him even when he couldn’t respond.
When Shinra and SOLDIER caught up with Zack, he fought them all off on his own, to the point that he could barely lift his sword to protect Cloud. Throughout the battle, the Digital Mind Wave is spinning, yet instead of buffs, it shows Zack’s memories – his time spent with Aerith, Angeal, and many more. Upon finally falling, Cloud comes to his senses, hurries to his friend and receives his Buster Sword, carrying on his legacy as he passes away.
