THE SABOTEUR
Now-defunct Pandemic Studios’ 2009 stealth game The Saboteur is one of the most underrated games we’ve played in recent memory. It was a little rough around the edges, but it was unique in a way that made it stand out in the crowd- in more ways than one. For instance, slowly freeing the world from the yoke of Nazi oppression isn’t just something that manifests as a checklist in the game- no, it actually changes the world. Once black-and-white and drab areas become vibrant and full of colour, Nazi presence decreases. It makes the entire process of freeing the city from its oppressive overlords feel that much more meaningful.
