Session
While the heyday of skateboarding games that the Tony Hawk and the Skate franchises championed doesn’t exist like it used to, Session looks set to maintain that niche in sports games. During its active period on Kickstarter, Session yielded more than double of its $80,000 target. The control sticks represent the player’s feet, and there is no scoring system to distract people – the game is all about self-expression through skating. The tricks are more important than the points. Session will also feature a video editor, in line with the importance of personal montages in skateboarding culture.
