Unnamed VA – Mad Max
The situation with Mad Max is interesting because he began as a non-video game character, lovingly portrayed by Mel Gibson. Naturally, with Avalanche Software making a Mad Max title, it made sense to get an Australian voice actor for that touch of authenticity, right? Well, the developer went with an American voice instead (who still hasn’t been identified as far as we know). To say this didn’t sit well with fans is an understatement. Avalanche eventually caved to pressure and cast Australian actor Bren Foster as the Max we know and love.
