Monster Hunter World didn’t have to be such a great game. And to be honest, on consoles, it didn’t exactly boast the best performance. Such was its brilliance though that it won millions of people over with its combat, creative environment design and stellar monsters. Each weapon offered a unique play-style and mastery while hunts could play out in numerous unexpected ways. In terms of customization, gameplay and just sheer fun, Monster Hunter World set a new bar for the series.
