Developer All Possible Futures’ The Plucky Squire is about Jot, who exists as a character in a storybook. Jot’s the heroic sort, helping out others and defeating the villainous Humgrump. But when the latter discovers he’ll never win, he does the unthinkable, kicking Jot out of the book into the real world. Now in three-dimensional form, he must find a way back, platforming between 3D and 2D environments, partaking in different genres (like a side-scrolling SHMUP) and more. Charming and visually pleasing, The Plucky Squire releases in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
