Dying Light

Dying Light

Techland may not be working on the next Dead Island but it is banging away on Dying Light, it’s free-roam first person platformer meets zombie survival horror. The set-up for Dying Light is quite simple – there are scores of Infected/Zombies/Zeds/Whatever that have invaded the world, causing an economic and social collapse. This means you’ll need to scavenge for weapons and tools to fight your way through the hordes of enemies.

However, when night falls, the creatures become infinitely more agile and aggressive. This is where the parkour mechanics come in – you’ll need to jump, vault and free run in order to stay alive and escape from potential infection. Will you be able to survive the night? How long can you keep running? The only real answer is that there’s nowhere to hide.

Despite suffering more than its fair share of delays, Dying Light looks as intriguing now as when it first debuted. Hopefully it doesn’t fall victim to its own hype (and launches without any major bugs).
