Battleborn
Like Overwatch, Battleborn isn’t your typical first person shooter. You’ll take on the role of a Battleborn, teaming up with four other individuals and completing a series of missions set against the intergalactic battle over the last remaining star. At times, you’ll need to cooperate with friends and clear out enemies attacking a fixed position. Other times, you’ll have to split off to eliminate threats. You won’t have any permanent player progression – instead, you’ll level up your character during the mission and pick a new upgrade with each level up. There will be a profile progression system of sorts. Did we mention there are PvP matches which focus on fighting rival Battleborn?
So right off the bat, we have a Team Fortress-style multiplayer game with Dota 2-like customization featuring a campaign chockfull of the awesome humour of Gearbox Software? And we can control both heavy type characters with giant gatling guns and dual sword wielding vampires as well as nimble archers and mushroom cyborgs? Sign us up.
