INSPIRATIONS
We’ve spoken about historical events, movies, photographs, and more that inspired The Last of Us in one way or another, but what about other games that influenced its development? Well, obviously there were some of those as well. We’ve already mentioned Ico– more specifically, the dynamic between its two characters and their interactions with each other served as an inspiration. Meanwhile, Shinji Mikami’s masterpiece Resident Evil 4 was another inspiration, with Naughty Dog wanting to capture a similar sense of constant tension and action.
