ASHLEY JOHNSON AND TROY BAKER
As the sole writer of The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann deserved a ton of credit for the game’s narrative and the way it excellently develops its characters- but Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who play Ellie and Joel respectively, also had significant contributions in fleshing out both characters. Both actors had a lot of input in the development of their characters and the relationship between the two, while plenty of dialogue and some of the story beats were refined as a result of collaboration between them and Druckmann.
