Assassin’s Creed Unity – Fluid Character Animations
The first Assassin’s Creed was a graphical benchmark when it released back in 2007, presenting a level of graphical fidelity, and realism in its fluid character animations, not seen until then. That it achieved all of this across a fully realized open world made it even more impressive.
So naturally, it wasn’t that much of a stretch to assume that the first truly next generation Assassin’s Creed game (last year’s Black Flag, impressive though it was, was targeted at the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) would also be a visual benchmark for its consoles. and indeed, Assassin’s Creed Unity looks visually impressive- from the scale of its city and its mobs and crowds, to simply how realistic and fluidic its character animations seem to be- far beyond anything that Ezio or Connor or Altair ever managed- all of it making for one visual treat.
