Shadow Queen – Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

The final boss of Nintendo’s excellent GameCube RPG, the Shadow Queen was pretty tough…which is expected given that she was a demon queen back in the day. On top of inflicting a hefty amount of damage, many of her attacks bypass your defenses. Most dangerous is Dark Wave which fires three waves that can hit for massive damage (and it can even be upgraded into the more powerful Shadow Wave). Imposing and more than a little scary, the Shadow Queen remains one of the toughest foes in the entire Paper Mario series.
