PROTOTYPE

Speaking of superhero games set in Manhattan, though Prototype may not have been as accomplished on this front as something like Insomniac’s Spidey games, it still very much earns its spot on this list. For those who enjoy partaking in a little bit of virtual tourism every now and then, there’s plenty of that going around here, with a variety of landmarks to visit, but what really helps elevate the setting is the fact that you can wreak utter and unrestrained carnage in it. Though the game does have its rough edges, that, at the very least, never outstays its welcome.
