Massive Entertainment got a lot of things right with The Division 2, and a few of them wrong, but its open world recreation of a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. was definitely one of the former. Just like its predecessor, The Division 2’s map is teeming with a level of detail that you very rarely see in games, and just like its predecessor, it deserves a great deal of praise for the way in which it toes the line between authentically recreating a real place and taking creative liberties while doing so.
