Race Driver: Grid
Before devolving into…whatever the GRID franchise is supposed to be today, Race Driver: Grid had an altogether different vibe from Codemasters’ other franchises. In addition to the Flashback mechanic, which could rewind time back to a few seconds earlier in a race, it offered numerous regions and events ranging from Le Mans to demolition derby along with 43 cars. Furthermore, one could manage their own team and hire a teammate for races. It was an elegant mix of arcade and sim racing.
