WOLF 3D WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO BE A STEALTH GAME
Wolf 3D might be the granddaddy of the first person shooter genre, but it wasn’t always going to be a first person shooter. No, interestingly enough, when work first started on the game, id Software were originally thinking of remaking Castle Wolfenstein in 3D as a stealth game. Eventually, they decided to make something “loud and cool” instead, and the rest was history.
