Destiny 2
Yes, ostensibly Destiny 2 is an online multi-player but it’s base game and subsequent DLC features enough campaign content that can be completed solo, so we’re including it here. And, for a game some seven years old now, Destiny 2’s gunplay is still amongst the best available. The intergalactic battlegrounds harbour a range of weird and deadly alien forces to contend with, from interstellar war engine the Cabal, time travelling robots the Vex, space zombies the Hive, and the newest alien force the Scorn.
