Resident Evil Zero
Much like the Resident Evil remake, Resident Evil 0 utilized 3D modeled characters against pre-rendered backgrounds. The latter was filled with all kinds of details while the real-time lighting, shadows and effects added that extra amount of realism. If anything, the shading and overall textures in the original look moodier than the remaster, giving it a grimier and more lived-in feel. Either way, as a companion piece to the first game’s remake, Resident Evil 0 offered a stunning if imperfect adventure.
