Sonic the Hedgehog 2
To no one’s surprise, at least at the time, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was a success. The secret? Simply giving fans more. New Zones and Acts, new music, a brand new character in Tails, a new multiplayer mode (which was somewhat iffy but still a great novelty), and even better visuals. While it sounds easy, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 presented some levels that remain classics to this day. Chemical Plant, Metropolis, Sky Chase and of course, the Death Egg. The Aquatic Ruin proved as traumatic as any other water stage and the Special Stages were a little awkward. But much like the original, platforming fans owe it to themselves to play Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
