The Suffering
The tale of death row inmate Torque offers a combination of survival horror, shooting and moral dilemmas, seeing a good amount of commercial and critical acclaim when it launched in 2004. The overall atmosphere along with the endings which could be severely altered depending on one’s choices, cemented The Suffering as something unique among the Resident Evils and Silent Hills of the world. While it did receive a sequel in 2005, current IP owner Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment doesn’t seem interested in a new title anytime soon.
