You can’t argue with Interplay developing a sequel to MDK especially after it crossed 400,000 units sold in its first year (a big deal in the good ol’ days of 1998). With BioWare as a developer, MDK2 featured three playable characters, even more gameplay variety and better visuals. Critical reception was good, though not as great as the first. Interplay never revealed sales – only plans for another sequel that were never realized. Still, this bizarre action romp still holds up.
