Xbox Game Pass

Let’s be real – when Microsoft first announced Xbox Game Pass, there was a feeling of “too good to be true.” First-party titles available at launch on a subscription service for just $10 per month? New additions to the library every month? The price, and how it went against the traditional $60 triple-A pricing model, was just absurd.
But all of these years later and Xbox Game Pass is not only a massive success with over 25 million subscribers as of January 2022 but it’s also pushed the likes of Sony to adapt. Acquiring publishers like Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard, signing deals for day one launches of select third party titles and giving exposure to indies are just some of the reasons that Xbox Game Pass continues to thrive.
