MICROSOFT’S DOUBLE FINE ACQUISITION
2018 saw Microsoft going on a spending spree, which entailed the acquisition of seven new studios, and though they weren’t nearly as active in 2019, they weren’t completely silent either. They added just one more new studio to the Xbox Game Studios lineup, but it was a big one- Tim Schafer-led Double Fine Productions, the makers of Psychonauts. Truly, Microsoft’s first party lineup is looking stronger than ever.
