Consoles Are Easier to Develop For
One of the biggest problems of developing for the PC platform is the sheer range of components and configurations that developers have to account for. With consoles having fixed configurations, surely it’s “easier” to make games for them right? While it’s true in theory, there’s still a ton of work that goes into game development on consoles. It’s possible to mess something up tremendously with bad optimization and that applies just as much for consoles as it does for PC.
